Do you use poetry in your classroom? I create all types of poems to use in an early childhood classroom, including this set of beginning blends poems. Teachers usually teach beginning blends at the end of kindergarten, or the beginning of first grade, so these poems are geared for that age! You can print this set of poems off, and create a poetry notebook for your students. You can then go through the poems one by one as you are introducing a beginning blend. Students can highlight the blends as you go, or you can choose specific sight words for your kiddos to focus on. This set has 20 poems, so you have plenty of blends to choose from. I also recommend writing the poems on chart paper or showing them using your projector.
