My literacy centers are constantly changing in Kindergarten. The skill level of my kindergarten students grows so quickly, that I have to keep changing to keep them engaged and challenged. The last few weeks I have been using these clip it cards as one my literacy centers. The concept is pretty easy. The students complete the task that is on the card and then clip the correct answer. Here are a few examples of some of my clip-it sets.

 

 

 

 



 

I love Winter! I can't believe that it is already here. It seems like just yesterday that I was meeting my new group of kindergarten kids, and now the school year is half over. When my kiddos come back from Christmas break, I will use this set of printables to keep them engaged. This set includes literacy and math printables that are perfect for this time of year. This is a picture of the friction experiment that we will do. We will use straws to try to blow marbles on different surfaces. We will determine if friction makes our marbles move faster or slower.

 

 



I have been hearing a lot about the use of interactive notebooks in the classroom. At the beginning of the year I would have never thought about using an interactive notebook with my kinders, because the very thought of them using scissors made me worry. But now, I think that they are ready. I created this interactive geometry notebook to use as an introduction to interactive notebooks. It is a short notebook, with 13 interactive geometry activities included. They are all aligned to the Kindergarten Common Core Standards. I tried to create each page with my kinders in mind. I also did not want to purchase notebooks, so I created this interactive notebook out of stapled copy paper. The following is a look into this notebook. I will save mine to display at our family night at the end of the  school year.
