In math we have been discussing and building patterns. I decided to throw some Easter in our conversation. We made these Patterned Easter Eggs pretty simply. I gave my kids a paper with a large plain Easter Egg on it. I then told them to turn their paper upside down. I placed several construction paper strips on their table and told them to create a pattern on the back of their egg paper. Once they laid out the pattern, I had them glue the strips down. I then told them to turn their paper upside down and cut along the Easter Egg (they then understood why we were using the back of the paper). When they were done, this is what they looked like. Pretty cute I thought!
